Bug#656516: hdf5 still FTBFS on alpha because of symbols mismatches

hdf5 (version 1.8.8-3) still FTBFS on Alpha due to symbol mismatches
despite the attempt to fix the symbols file. I did try to reopen bug
656299 but must have forgotten to CC control at b.d.o.  Would you please
recheck the symbol file on Alpha -- new build log is at:
