Building a Mapnik 3 backport for Debian stable

Hello,

I just tried to build a Mapnik 3 backport for Debian stable.

Looks like the following entry in debian/rules does not work:

override_dh_strip:
       dh_strip --no-automatic-dbgsym

Can I just remove this?
