Hi, all,
I've read some of the list archives here and the request for help.
It looks like there is quite a lot to do, but I would like to see
gridengine packaged and backported for Stable. I have a little
experience administering a cluster using SGE and creating some
packages as part of Debian Med and I'd like to help. I see there was
a pledge to help earlier this year [1], but I'd like to know if
there's something specific that I can do to move things along. I've
seen the to-do list, but I'm also looking to see if we can
coordinate a plan to move this forward.

I know of a few bioinformatics tools that have some integration with
schedulers, especially SGE, so I think bringing this package back
would be worthwhile.

Many thanks for your efforts.

Regards
Afif
