Package: grub
Version: 0.97-4
Severity: minor

Hi,

on sarge, dpkg-architecture -qDEB_BUILD_GNU_SYSTEM returns linux. This
causes the makefile variable filesystems to be unset on build, and
thus the build failing because e2fs_stage_1_5 is not where it is
expected.

To ease backports, grub's debian/rules should be modified to
gracefully handle "linux" as well as "linux-gnu".

If that's not possible, build should abort with a meaningful message
if the architecture parsed from dpkg-architecture is not recognized.

Greetings
Marc
