Hi,

This (grub2 1.94-1) is the first ever successful Debian build for
powerpc. It is experimental, and definitely needs more work. I'll be
attempting to improve things over the next few weeks, but it is
currently rather rough.

powerpc support is also new upstream, and so it really isn't ready to
replace yaboot just yet.

The instructions upstream for installation on powerpc might be useful
for you:

Stuff like installation onto a OpenFirmware boot partition is not
currently implemented. Any help adding this support would be greatly
appreciated!

Regards,
Roger
