update-grub enhancement

Hi, folks,

i have a suggestion for enhancement of the 'update-grub' utility:

Make the token 'groot' accept a list of devices instead of a single
device only, aka groot=(hd0,0),(hd1,0) or similar.
For each device in the list, the appropriate boot selection entries
should be produced when updating menu.lst

Why? I got several machines running the system from a software-mirrored
set of disks.
When one disk goes corrupt, i would like to boot from the remaining one.
Given that grub is installed correctly on both disks, i need a boot
entry for every disk in the set,
because doing a boot using the grub shell is possible, but annoying.

Do you consider this a reasonable enhancement?

Your's Andreas
