Bug#451710: grub: "No setup signature found" error message not shown on serial console

Package: grub
Version: 0.97-29
Severity: normal

Hi,

when old grub code is trying to boot kernel 2.6.23.8, the error
message "No setup signature found" is not visible on a serial console.
This makes debugging just a tiny little bit harder (as in
"impossible"), and I was lucky to have a second system with the same
issue on a "real" KVM switch. Otherwise I wouldn't have been able to
pin down the issue at all.

Please check grub code to have all error messages printed to the
console that is actually in use.

Greetings
Marc
