Indeed, it's too late for any major change in lenny at this point and this
is a good compromise IMO.

Robert, I saw that you comitted the fix in SVN with a version 0.97-52 but
unstable/lenny has 0.97-47, and the changes in between are probably
unwanted by release managers. Will you prepare a 0.97-47lenny1 version
for unstable ?

I wanted to ask you to upload shortly to get the RC bug count down but I
noticed that grub also suffers from #500336. We need to get the ball
rolling there too. There's a patch but Ian wanted something even better.
I'll follow-up there.
