Hello Paul,

somebody else reported this now directly upstream and confirmed that
Bean's change did fix this.
It would be very nice if you could confirm this too.

So please install grub-legacy into your MBR and then install the grub-pc
package and then please do:
grub-install --no-floppy --grub-setup=/bin/true "(hd0)"
