Bug#539963: grub-pc: Black on black for large graphic modes

I specify GRUB_GFXMODE="1280x1024x8" in my /etc/default/grub.
GRUB2 correctly sets up the 1280x1024 mode.
Debian also found /boot/grub/moreblue-orbit-grub.png so GRUB2
uses it for the background.

Problem is: moreblue-orbit-grub.png is only 648x480 so it does
not cover the whole screen: the rest of the screen ends up with
a black background, which makes the black foreground used for the
text completely unreadable.
