reassign 544478 ftp.debian.org
retitle 544478 ftp.debian.org: diff should not be extra in testing yet
thanks

Executive summary: Kind ftpmasters, please make "diff" in testing to
be "Priority: required" and "Section: utils" as it's proper for
version 2.8.1-13, until the new diffutils package propagates to
testing. Not doing so breaks testing. The rename was not meant to
break anything, but for that to happen we need overrides for testing
and unstable which are appropriate for each one.

Thanks.

The overrides for unstable and experimental are the same.

The overrides for testing and unstable are usually the same, but AFAIK
they are different and should not always be the same. This is a good
example of that.

The diff package in testing is currently Essential: yes, but it's
also of extra priority and it's in section oldlibs (prematurely).

So, this is a bug in the override file for testing, not on grub-legacy.

The functionality provided by diff in testing and diffutils in unstable
is still guaranteed to be always present, because what happened is just
a rename. The essential status is kept.

So, I'm reassign this to ftp.debian.org.

Thanks.
