thanks

I'm not able to reproduce this bug. I tried to create the same layout:

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 1 61 487424 fd Linux raid autodetect
Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sda2 61 73 97280 fd Linux raid autodetect
Partition 2 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sda3 73 110 292864 fd Linux raid autodetect
Partition 3 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sda4 110 261 1217536 fd Linux raid autodetect
Partition 4 does not end on cylinder boundary.

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sdb1 1 61 487424 fd Linux raid autodetect
Partition 1 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sdb2 61 73 97280 fd Linux raid autodetect
Partition 2 does not end on cylinder boundary.
/dev/sdb3 73 110 292864 fd Linux raid autodetect

I tried installing squeeze directly using the beta2 installer and
first installing lenny and upgrading to squeeze. Both worked fine.
