Yes, these versions fixes the bug.

To supplement, I tested the latest Squeeze version (1.98+20100804-4) and 
the system boot successfully.

The file "/boot/grub/device.map" contains:

(hd0)	/dev/disk/by-id/scsi-1ATA_WDC_WD2500JS-75NCB3_WD-WCANK9433395
(hd1)	/dev/disk/by-id/scsi-1ATA_WDC_WD2500JS-75NCB3_WD-WCANK9409087


$ sudo grub-install /dev/sda
Installation finished. No error reported.

$ sudo grub-install /dev/sdb
Installation finished. No error reported.

$ sudo update-grub2
Generating grub.cfg ...
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-5-amd64
Found initrd image: /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-5-amd64
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.32-3-amd64
Found initrd image: /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-3-amd64
Found memtest86+ image: /memtest86+.bin
Found memtest86+ multiboot image: /memtest86+_multiboot.bin
done
