While I sympathise, the problem at the head of this bug seems like a
good reason.  I'm not keen on unpicking the GRUB changes that caused it
to care about this (it was probably the mountinfo parsing, and that was
introduced for good reasons), and I'm not keen on adding even more
maintainer script complication to grub-pc.  If you have a better
suggestion, I'm all ears.
