Bug#704932: grub-pc: Grub fails installation when installing vm

Hi! I'm trying to install a virtual machine using KVM.
I run debootstrap by mounting the disk in the host filesystem, say /mnt
Then I chroot to the /mnt, mount proc and sys and try to run grub.
However, I got the following:
