Package: grub-pc<br>Version: 1.96+20090808-1<br>tags 540549 patch<br><br>I installed a SoftRAID for my AMD710 chipset. It will be setup as /dev/mapper/pdc_fcgchefh and run into the same problem with GRUB2 as described here.<br>
<br>I've found a patch from Felix Zielcke at <a href="http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/grub-devel/2009-07/msg00099.html">http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/grub-devel/2009-07/msg00099.html</a> and applied it to 1.96+20090808-1 successfully.<br>
<br>The setup of GRUB2 worked fine for me. I've attached the patch to this e-mail for sure. I cound not find the patch in the official SVN directory but maybe Felix did not applied it and waiting for more feedback.<br>
<br>At this point I finght with initramfs-tools which do not work because dmraid -ay is not called. But this should go the the initramfs-tools package.<br><br>Regards,<br>Raphael<br>
