Bug#348213: gstreamer0.8-x: Cannot use xv as output correctly

Hi,

Thank you for your mail.

But I'm afraid I cannot produce a useful debug report as you wish. It
is not a normal crash problem, but a side effect of accessing xv of
xine library with i810 video card. That is, the xine-based
application behaves properly and exits normally, only the color of xv
is changed. Even built with debug information, gdb cannot provide any
useful information since the application does not crash or any other
abnormal behavior at all.

In fact, I did test xine-ui (the build-dep of totem conflicts with
openoffice2 in my sid system) and I cannot get any bt report. Deeper
exploration, say, step by step, appears to beyond my debug skills
since I'm familiar with xine library. I'm sorry.

As I mentioned, it seems that xine-based applications leave some
residential effects on the status of xv driver and cause xv's color to
display abnormal. But all media applications do not notice it. It is
really a strange problem, but I have reproduced on another computer
with the same video card. So it may be some obscure incompatibility
between xine library and i810 video card in xorg7. I can only guess
that.

Thanks.
