gstreamer backend package for mixer?

Hi, dear gstreamer maintainers,

I'm currently packaging the new Xfce 4.6, which is in alpha version. One
of the changes from 4.4 is that the mixer application and panel plugin
is now gstreamer based. From what I know, it uses GstMixer directly and
select sinks which are present on the system (but requires ones).

Someone tested it without gstreamer0.10-alsa and it died badly. I've for
now added a dependency on gstreamer0.10-alsa but it won't work on *bsd,
and I guess some people don't use alsa (wether they use oss, or
pulseaudio or something else).

After some talk with Josselin Mouette and Loïc Minier, it seems that I'd
need gstreamer0.10-plugins-good, which would pull to many stuff.

It'd be nice if gstreamer could provide a way to install a default sink
which would be light (especially since, in that case, I only need a
mixer) and pull just the correct dependency.

I dont really know how work gstreamer internals so feel free to point me
in the good direction (and keep me CC:ed as I'm not subscribed).

Cheers,
