Bug#595651: GStreamer packages should not depend on gconf, nor recommend gvfs

Package: gstreamer0.10-plugins-base
Version: 0.10.30

Please see the following bug reports on respectively Ubuntu Launchpad
and GNOME Bugzilla:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gst-plugins-base0.10/+bug/590077
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=621362

There are two problems:

The package gstreamer0.10-plugins-base recommends gvfs. So KDE users who
install anything which requires GStreamer will most likely also pull in
gvfs, which is not desirable for them. Yes, because it is recommended
one can install with --no-recommends and avoid getting gvfs, but how are
newbies supposed to know that? Because gvfs serves no use for those
using KDE, can the recommendation for gvfs please be removed?

The package gstreamer0.10-plugins-good depends on gconf. The GStreamer
developers tell me that it is not necessary, that the gconf related
stuff can be packaged separately. Could this please be done, so that KDE
users don’t need to install gconf?

Hopefully it was okay that I did not file a separate bug for both *base
and *good, because the issue is similar. To be clear, I don’t use Debian
but Ubuntu, and they copy Debian’s packages. That’s why I’m requesting
the Debian packagers to fix this.
