This should only happen if you are passing RTS options to darcs to
attempt to controls the GHC RTS behaviour. If you're not doing this
explicitly, do you have the GHCRTS environment variable set (echo
$GHCRTS)?

If not, please post a sample command you're trying to run and that gives
you the error.

Two potential resolutions:
  - Build darcs with -rtsopts=some (ghc #3910)
  - Ask GHC to ignore $GHCRTS if the executable is not linked with
    -rtsopts
