[Pkg-hpijs-devel] Bug#452574: spurious version numbering for hpijs packages

Package: hpijs
Version: 2.7.10+2.7.10-2
Severity: minor

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---
Dear hplip-/hpijs-maintainers,

back in the hplip 1.x days, the version numbering schemes for hplip and
hpijs differed. This has been made obvious by a combined version number
(hpijs+hplip-revision) for the hpijs packages.
Since version 2.7.x, both hplip and hpijs do have the same version
number, making combined version numbers like '2.7.10+2.7.10-2'
redundant. Additionally, it looks silly. ;)

Please consider introducing a consistent version number for all hplip
and hpijs related packages.

Thank you very much!

Cheers,
Fabian
