It is a little weird that your hplip package is linked against 
libnetsnmp.so.15 and so.9 ?? It certainly isn't supposed to be, it is 
supposed to be just libnetsnmp.so.15 per the dependancies. ;-(

I presume you are using the package downloaded from lenny?

The binary package in lenny is only linked against libnetsnmp.so.15 which is 
correct.

# ldd hpijs  | grep snmp
	libnetsnmp.so.15 => /usr/lib/libnetsnmp.so.15 (0xb7e52000)

Have you built the package yourself or something like that?
