Just to add to this issue, I've now tested Aquaria with 64-bit build vs. 
32-bit build and the artifacts are gone, while they are still present in 
the 32-bit build that pulls libs from the ia32-libs package, namely 
mesa/GL stuff...

Any thoughts/suggestions would be most appreciated.
