Folks,=20

I got a good news. scim-hangul package maintainer has been found. He
even has a DD account.

Yes. As DD of course. =20

As you may know, I am not really up to task of packaging and maintaining
complicated binary packages. My contribution has been to make a concise
technical documentation.

Great.

Some back ground. scim packages has been packaged by Ming Hua
<minghua@rice.edu> and he made SVN repository accessible. When I found
minor dependency issues and reported, he asked me to upload fixed
package and I did so since it was within my skill to review differential
change.

Then Ming has done 2 things.
  * Created SVN repository
  * Made much newer packages packaged using dpatch

I and Hidetaka Iwai put together efforts to package few more packages
(KDE related ones are the remaining task).

Omote-san and Iwai-san has given us access to pkg-ime alioth repository
and subscribed Ming and me to the list. So this list is good list for
communicating IM issues now. (very low trafic.) You can write to them
for the repository access and ML subscription.

Ming seens to be busy at this moment but he gave me write access to his
SVN repository and he said he will ask to get pkg-scim started on alioth
with SVN support. Plan is to use pkg-scim if he gets is soon. If it
takes too much time, use pkg-ime. Until then, we use Ming's personal
SVN.

Few key facts:

Key E-mail addresses
 Masahito Omote <omote@debian.org>
 Hidetaka Iwai <tyuyu@debian.or.jp>
 Ming Hua <minghua@rice.edu>
 Simon Richter <sjr@debian.org> (He is also volunteered to help)

SVN:
     svn://128.42.57.80/srv/svn/pkg-scim/
This only contains debian/ directory in which dpatch is used to patch
source.

Osamu's binary and source (APT ready):
     deb http://people.debian.org/~osamu/package/ ./
     deb-src http://people.debian.org/~osamu/package/ ./

Action required:
 * Update changelog=20
    - Close all ITP in package changelog
 * Package descrition update
    - Current ones are cryptic for the user
 * Finalize who will end up "maintainer" in debian/control
 * Add packaging for skim, scim-qtimm (maybe later.)
 * Check Depends: field of scim-m17n: m17n-db? m17n-lib-bin?=20
 * Rebuild against latest source.
