Anyway for testing I build both packages.

Please set apt source to:

deb http://people.debian.org/~osamu/package/ ./
deb-src http://people.debian.org/~osamu/package/ ./

And check what I did as a quick mod.

I think other than few changes and repackaging of source tree I did, you
may want to set proper clean target.  So building after "debuild clean"
multiple times works and cleans directory etc.
