It's very weird that your lintian doesn't warn, as the problem is an
obvious ftp-master auto-reject.
Are you running an ancient version of lintian? As suggested by various
documentation, you should
always run the latest version of lintian from Sid.

Also, the recommended debhelper compat is 8 now.
