Hi,

Yet to be packaged 1.5.3 by looking at the upstream VCS master HEAD
indicates, ibus default key-binding is changing.
 commit: f3d80dc026853c1024cdf6bda31b1496939cb095
Default triggers key is changed to <Super>space.

We have been used <Control>space as the default triggers key.
GNOME3 and Windows7 applied <Super>space as the default trigger key
and IBus follows it for the consistent key between desktops.

There is a long discussion https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=756595

SUPER is usually mapped to Windows-key.

So the upstream 1.5.3 version should fix original bug reporter's concern
it self but it was a bit of surprise for me.

=== MEMO on IME default activation key

As for windows 7 default mentioned in the above, I do not know if this
is true or not. Most Japanese centrical tutorial still uses Alt-~ on
English keyboard as IME toggling key for both Windows XP and 7.

XP example

7 example

It looks like these defaults are selectable too from the screeshot.

On Japanese keyboard, there is kanji-key anyway for this.

(My impression is these defaults are different depending on the default
language used for the installation.)

There are also optional configurable key bindings on XP system as I
remember with:
 CTRL+SPACE
 CTRL+LEFT-ALT
which may be used for switch input language and keyboard layout in any
combination.
