<span>Debian wheezy does not echo a tilde when I press 'AltGr++'
twice in a uxterm or Xfce terminal. Similarly, when pressing the ^
key twice. If I press in a virtual terminal '^^ ' , a '^' will be
echoet though. Entering these key combinations in Chatzilla's
command line will echo these characters .<br>
</span><span>After '~$ killall ibus-daemon' I can enter 'AltGr++'
twice, and will obtain as an echo a tilde, as expected. Likewise
for entering '^' twice in a uxterm. --</span><br>
<span>' /usr/bin/ibus-daemon<wbr> --daemonize' starts all
ibus-related processes as before with one exception: The process
'/usr/lib/x86_64-<wbr>linux-gnu/ibus/ibus-<wbr>x11<wbr>
--kill-daemon' is not started. And I can type tilde and ^
normally.<br>
</span><span> '~$ LANG=C aptitude why ibus; Unable to find a reason
to install ibus.' - Hehe. I wonder why the DEB program package
»ibus« crept onto my computer. I definitely did not do '~$ sudo
apt-get install ibus.'</span><br>
