close #506931
thanks

In summary dmb, and I would like to keep this in team, the reasons
nenolod had for orphaning are either resolved/will be fixed in the
next release. Upstream has also agreed to merge all pending patches in
the Debian BTS. Bradley, if you want to join as a co-maintainer for
inspircd you could upload the next upstream release, which is expected
Sunday or Monday. I will be studying for finals, and I'd expect dmb
will be doing the same and since it fixes quite alot of serious and
potentially serious bugs a freeze exception will be required. We
should also start packaging 1.2 (currently in beta) as upstream has
said 1.1 will be supported for at least five years (they want to get
in in the next SLES), i think a new source package would be the best
way to approach this. I will start work on that right after finals are
done :)
