Package: libfop-java
Version: 1:0.20.4-0.1
Severity: important

Hi there- it appears that FOP for Debian *isn't* compiled with Jimi
image library support (available from Sun- see
http://xml.apache.org/fop/relnotes.html for details). The Debian
specific documentation *DOES NOT* list this detail, whereas the upstream
documentation that is included in the deb explicitly says support *IS*
included- which is very confusing.
I've copied the jimi library to /usr/share/java, and added a link as per
the name included in the CLASSPATH set by /usr/bin/fop- all to no avail.

Using fop from xml.apache.org/fop + jimi library with PNG's works fine.

If possible, please build with jimi support, or include a note re jimi
in the README.Debian.

(NB- Jimi is needed for FOP to work with PNG graphics.)

Thanks
Julian
