None that I can see. And my upgrading the bug to 'grave' failed.

This really is an RC-level bug as the resolver classes supply the 
only java-based XML catalog-aware entity resolver. IOW, this package 
is the *only* way to add XML catalog support to, say, a java XSLT 
processor (saxon & xalan are the most widely used). This package is 
essentially broken in its present state (unless the user has some 
expertise feeding it command line properties, which is unlikely).

The bug omits an essential config file (CatalogManager.properties) 
that the resolver needs in order to function properly. In its 
current state, one would have to feed the resolver all kinds of info 
  via the command-line in order to use it - something the user 
shouldn't have to think about. As Mike described in the bug report, 
the installed CatalogManager.properties file ought to have some sane 
defaults that fit with the current Debian XML Policy Working Draft 
[1], such as setting the default catalog to /etc/xml/catalog

Also, the README.Debian ought to explain how to use it with both 
xalan and saxon.

that packages the resolver.
