I do not think I understand the problem.

The "1.5.0" string in the diff I attached refers to the naming of the
upstream archive. There may be issues in how that is converted to a
corresponding debian package version but it would be really nice if
make-jpkg was able to recognise the latest Sun java 1.5 archive, as
advertised in the java-package description.
