problem loading libant

I am a new user, and have tried to install tomcat 4.1.31-2 several times via 
the Synaptic package manager, and each time, it needs to also load 
libant1.6-java, and each time it stops saying "W: Failed to fetch 
ftp://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/pool/main/liba/libant1.6-java/libant1.6-java_1.6.2-2_all.deb
  Size mismatch"

Actually just now is the first time it said "Size mismatch"; usually it says 
"Unable to fetch file, server said 'Failed to open file.  ' [IP: 
128.101.80.133 21]"

I really want to put ant and tomcat on my system so I can run a jsp/mysql 
-based web site. Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.
