Can you please try moving the ~/.eclipse directory away (by renaming it)
and then try again? 

Please try the following command and send us the output:

ls -l /usr/share/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.osgi_3.1.1.jar /usr/lib/eclipse/plugins/org.eclipse.osgi_3.1.1.jar
