Bug#288619: Shouldn't 1.5 provide 1.4 and 1.4 provide 1.3?

Also, if I'm not mistaken, the problem arise only when (re)compiling the
code: already compiled one (even if using the enum keyword) has no
problem running on a JDK 1.5 target.
