If you enable the -verbose switch for Ant, perhaps you will get more
information.  Also, try manually compiling with your chosen compiler to
see if your results are the same.  You could also check to see what
alternatives are indicated for java, javac, etc.; sometimes they are not
what one would have expected, depending upon which packages have been
installed on a system.

I would also recommend explicitly setting your JAVA_HOME to the actual
path to the JVM you are using and setting your compiler with the
build.compile property for javac tasks.
