Package: tomcat4
Severity: normal

Hi,

I just saw (by accident :-) ) that /etc/init.d/tomcat4
defines kjc as compiler if JAVA_HOME is set to kaffe.

The kaffe version in unstable has the kjc compiler removed
due to a license issue (as far as I remember).

The section is at line 70:

# Set the JSP compiler to if we are using Kaffe and it is not set
if [ -z "$JSP_COMPILER" -a "$JAVA_HOME" = "/usr/lib/kaffe" ]; then
        JSP_COMPILER=kjc
fi

Maybe using jikes-kaffe instead ?
Sorry, I have no tomcat installed for a quick test.

Regards,

Wolfgang
