Bug#272295: The natives are restless

I have tested the kaffe built Lucene with the Sun runtime - all unit
tests pass including the one giving us headaches. Thus there is
no reason to believe the kaffe compiled jar is any worse than the
Sun compiled jar currently in contrib.
