I reassign this report to java-gcj-compat as its not a kaffe problem.

OK is it correctly configured and do you have java-gcj-compat-dev
installed and configured (its the one providing rmic) ?

Please provide the output of:
dpkg -l java-gcj-compat
dpkg -l java-gcj-compat-dev

Yes thats a known dependency problem atm.
