Bug#352256: eclipse: no non-gcj version of libswt3.1-gtk-jni

Package: eclipse
Version: 3.1.2-1
Severity: normal

libswt3.1-gtk-jni depends on libgcj6-awt. This is the only one of the eclipse
packages that has a dependancy on any part of gcj (except the additional "-gcj"
suffixed packages of course). This causes a whole load of gcj stuff to be pulled
in, which a user may not want. I need to maintain a clean system knowing just
what java I'm using, and not risking getting contamination from gcj.

It should be possible to run without gcj, using an IBM or Sun jvm (probably
installed with java-package). In fact if you equivs yourself a libgcj6-awt
package you'll probably find that eclipse works perfectly well, with no gcj at
all, despite the missing libs. I haven't found any problems so far, but I'd
obviously feel happier if I could avoid gcj properly rather than this hack.

Regards, Richard.
