I've tried to reproduce this particular (ie. having /usr/bin/rhino as an 
alternative option for orbd) configuration on two different squeeze 
system without success.

Can you provide me (by private mail) your /var/log/dpkg.log to 
understand which package get upgraded to which version during your 
aptitude dist-upgrade run.

As of now, I will tag this issue as unreproducible but feel free to 
override this.
