Bug#666256: What to do about libservlet2.4-java-gcj?

There is an updated tomcat6 source package ready to for that will handle
transitioning from libservlet2.4-java -> libservlet2.5-java cleanly via
Replaces/Conflicts (due to both packages containing
servlet-api-debian.pom).

However, for upgrades from squeeze to wheezy, I'm not sure what to do
regarding libservlet2.4-java-gcj, which depends on libservlet2.4-java.
Is it possible to rely on the package manager to remove
libservlet2.4-java-gcj before replacing libservlet2.4-java with
libservlet2.5-java?

The only rdepends on libservlet2.4-java-gcj in squeeze is
libaxis-java-gcj, which in turn depends on libaxis-java (which depends
on libservlet2.4-java in squeeze, and 2.5-java in wheezy). So the
package manager would need to temporarily uninstall libaxis-java in
order to upgrade libservlet, and then upgrade libaxis, and it would have
to remove both the -gcj packages.

Thank you in advance for guidance on how to approach this.
tony
