Hi Shawn,

Are you asking for the package to be orphaned so you can prepare an
upload, or for some other reason?  netbeans is currently a
team-maintained package, by the Java Team, so you should feel free to
work on a package and join the packaging team and upload, or request
sponsorship, etc.
