Bug#843702: freeplane should add standard MIME open for .mm files

Package: freeplane
Version: 1.5.16-1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

I recently installed freeplane to continue working on .mm files made by
freemind which had been discontinued. After installing freeplane I saw that
freeplane is not automatically assigned to open .mm files, at least this is not
working with the Cinnamon file manager here.

Assigning freeplane to open .mm files was easy, but for other file types this
MIME assignment works automatically.

Please consider adding freeplane as standard MIME open for .mm files.

thank you,
Oliver
