These are harmless messages produced by maven-debian-helper 2.2.1 (and 
silenced in 2.2.2).

This seems to be the actual problem. Unfortunately I'm unable to reproduce this
with a current sid chroot. I suspect it was a transient problem in some of the
dependencies. Could you please re-run the build on your testbed and confirm
that it builds fine?
