This indicates that the bug is very likely in OpenJDK 8 or in one of its
dependencies. I have found [1] in Netbeans' bugtracker, which appears to
confirm my assumption.

Could you attach your log files to this bug report please? They are
located in ~/.netbeans/8.1/var/log/*.log
