I remember seeing a discussion in one of the Debian mailing lists about
the requirements for package upgrades.  I cannot find the reference
though.  My recollection from this discussion is that packages must
upgrade smoothly provided that the user does not skip any stable release.
For instance, for upgrading from woody to etch, the user must first
upgrade from woody to sarge and then from sarge to etch.

That said, if the conflicts/replaces on jedslc, jedsl, and jedsl-src have
already done their job in sarge (or even before), then we can drop them
in etch.
