I am in favour of transitioning now. Would you like me to prepare the
updates of openlibm and openspecfun? It seems a good idea if both of
us are familiar with all packages of the team.

Regarding julia 0.4.6, I have left one task for the future: building
with the PIE and BINDNOW hardening flags as flagged by lintian. This
fails during linking of the Rmath library, which is compiled both with
-fPIC and -fPIE when adding hardening=+all to DEB_BUILD_MAINT_OPTIONS.

For julia 0.5, depending on time constraints, I would like to package
the -rc versions for experimental, with the goal to upstream as many
of our fixes as possible before julia 0.5.0 is released.

Peter
