I'm confused. I forgot an important word : some parts WERE not available as 
packages for a couple of months.
Now everything works OK.

Yes it's quite impressive ! I didn't even know it was an endianess problem.

The debuild process is running ... slowly as the machine is now indexing 
something like 15122 images with gnuift (42% now).
