It is, indeed, a jpeg as I checked/viewed it with gqview fine.
Here it is, a pic of my cat ;) (2.4MB, not shrunk because I wanted to
give you the exact data that can reproduce this.

Have verified, it's a jpeg, straight from my Canon, xferd from
digikam.
